New Elevation & Material Order Unit Controls
This significant release introduces new management capabilities for elevations and precise control over unit conversions for material orders.
Elevation Management Functionality:
New functionality has been added, accessible from Settings, allowing for inline editing of elevations. Users can now add, edit, and delete elevations. The ability to rename and modify the elevation name and markup level on estimates has been introduced, with an edit icon appearing next to the elevation selection dropdown.
- Users have the option to apply changes to the current estimate only or to both the current and all future estimates. Applying changes to future estimates is controlled by a new “Can Update Elevations from Estimate” permission.
Material Order Summary Units Control:
Two new fields, “Material Order Calculation” and “Material Order Unit Display,” have been added to the unit edit view.
- “Material Order Calculation” stores formulas (e.g., “Linear Feet/150”) for unit conversion.
- “Material Order Unit Display” stores the unit of measurement for displaying the converted result (e.g., “Coils”).
- A flag, “Use the unit conversion defined by the unit, not the product’s units, for material orders,” has been added to product details to provide flexibility and prevent incorrect conversions for rigid products.
- A new configuration in Settings allows administrators to add, view, edit, and delete material order unit configurations.
- When a user changes a unit on a material order document, a “Save for Current and Future” button appears (if the user has “Can Save Material Order Summary Control Units” permission), which saves the new configuration for future matching material orders.
